Goofy in Hebrew means my body. The choreographer raises a question about the meaning of these two words together, and check if we could really own our bodies. In our modern reality where people are often treating each other bodies with no compassion, it becomes even more relevant. “Goofy“ is an attempt of a body to realize the point it has lost its innocence, and make the transition from an amorphous structure of bones and muscles to a known image of a woman.
RONI CHADASH
Roni Chadash was born and raised in Israel, where she received her education in dance. Roni started her path as a professional dancer at the “Vertigo International Workshop” (2011–2012) and later at the “Danceworkshop Ga‘aton” for professional dancers (2012–2013). Roni’s stage & video works got international recognition and were invited to perform in many dance festivals, and received prestigious awards.
