The tennis game and the tennis player’s obsessive struggle for a victory as a metaphor to our survival here and now: to attack / to defend, to embrace / to part, to lose / to win: from the personal and intimate to the social and political. Accompanied by a soundtrack that combines original sounds from the tennis court with trance and soul music.
NIMROD FREED
Nimrod Freed established Tami Dance Company in 2004 in Beit Tami – the heart of Tel-Aviv, with the support of Daniela & Daniel Steinmetz. Nimrod was living, performing and creating in NYC for 10 years after being invited by Kei Takei to be a part of her „Moving Earth“ dance company. He received the “Duo Artist” award from Habima theatre in Israel. He was the artistic director of „On the Edge“ in Beit Tami and „Red Line“ project in Tel Aviv Museum of Modern Art. Nimrod teaches in Jerusalem Academy of Dance and in Kibbutzim College‘s School of Dance Arts. His works traveled to 5 continents and participated inprominent festivals & leading cultural events in more than 25 countries.
