Aim of the Festival: To promote and present variety of artists and companies involved in contemporary dance to Lithuanian public.
Organization of the Festival: The 17th International Festival of Modern Dance is organized by AURA Dance Theatre and is funded by different sponsors.
Performances and workshops: The performances of the Festival will take place on October 4-8, 2007 in Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University Hall and Vilnius National Theatre and will be accompanied by workshops of contemporary dance in which participants of the Festival will be able to take part free of charge. Each participant of the Festival will present one or several pieces, which have never been performed in Lithuania. Each participant will have time for the stage and light rehearsals; will be provided with computer operated light and sound systems as well as professional staff.
Financial support (Accommodation, Food and Transportation): Participants of the Festival will be provided with free meals three times a day and accommodation in hotel (not more than 3 nights) as well as transportation inside Lithuania. To cover travel expenses and insurance costs is responsibility of companies although exceptional cases could be negotiated.
Application procedure: Each participant is required to send information about the company and piece as detailed as possible. The committee of the Festival, which consists of the organizers of the Festival, will make the selection of the applications and announce the applicants within one month.
Deadline for applying: 15th April, 2007.
